If your text disappears, copy the excess text into text boxes on additional pages before adjusting the line spacing. If the text expands beyond the page, it will disappear. Work on a copy of the file if you are unsure about what you need to do.The following steps are for adjusting line spacing within a text box on a single page. Note: Once you save the file, the change is permanent. Switch back to Acrobat and the page will update:.Close the document and the following message (or similar) should appear.Use the appropriate tool(s) such as the eraser tool to clean up the image. When you first install Acrobat, the installer program searches for compatible editing programs on your Mac or PC. However, Acrobat can also call a program to edit vector content, too. Using an external image editor makes the most sense for image-based PDFs. I’ve never written about the second option previously, so this seems like a good opportunity to do so! I prefer to use Adobe Acrobat to OCR, and otherwise manage PDF documents, but if they need editing I am forced to use ScanSoft Paperport.
